It has been another great wintery week here on the farm! Spirits have been high with the new snowfall that has happened over the course of the last week. Our nordic trails are being groomed and compacted and are ready for skiers if you’re looking for a place to play in the snow over the break! The trails are really great shape and should be throughout the next week. For Whole Farm Members who haven’t skied our trails we invited you out to ski our trails from now until the end of Spring Break-March 17th. If you are a Pass Holder we invite you to bring friends out to ski with you during the same time. FREE SKING FOR WHOLE FARM MEMBERS AND THEIR INVITED GUESTS MARCH 6-17th! Matt will be out of town, but Tom will be taking over the grooming duties in the interim. Don’t give him too hard of a time!

Greenhouses are still producing greens and seeding is in full swing as we begin to get ready for the spring season. This past week we seeded Broccolini, Chard, and Collards for our unheated High Tunnels, started the Peppers for the outside field, and planted Ranunculus Corms for early cutflowers!

In your boxes this week, you will find some of the last of our storage veggies from the fall harvest! We have a few beets and radishes in our storage still, but otherwise, this is it as we begin to look toward spring! Along with the storage root veggies in your boxes, you will also find a variety of greens, and an amazing herb - apple mint! Apple mint can be used as a garnish, steeped for hot or iced tea, or can be incorporated into a variety of recipes. It offers a refreshing, energizing, and soothing taste that we all crave this time of year.
