Spring preparation is in full swing on the Farm! We are seeding in the green houses and have even started seeding a few crops outside. There are now 34 lambs and we have a flock of chicks.

Today in your boxes you are receiving a variety of greens and lemon thyme. Full share is also welcome to their choice of root vegetables - the last of the season. You will also get a choice of hard and soft neck garlic. Hard neck garlic is hearty in colder climates, but has a shorter storage life. It is slightly stronger and spicier in flavor and has a stiff central stem that grows into an edible flower head or scape. Soft neck garlic stores longer and has a milder flavor. The soft stems are ideal for braiding. It is typically soft neck varieties that you see at the grocery store.

Try this recipe for chicken with a garlic lemon thyme marinade!

For a tangy dressing, blend thyme, garlic and arugula, yogurt, olive oil, vinegar and salt. Any blender, nutribullet, or food processor will work.

Happy eating!
