Hi everyone!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the warmer weather this week after the cold snap we had recently! The animals and greenhouse veggies around the farm have been happy in the warmer temps and few days of sunshine we’ve been having as well. :)

There are lots of yummy things awaiting you in your CSA boxes this week! One of these is something that is totally new to CSA boxes this year: French Grey Shallots! These shallots are originally from Asia and add a rich, creamy flavor to dishes. These shallots are special because they have a very short growing season and can only be cultivated from bulbs because they don’t produce seeds! You will also find Savoy Cabbage in your CSA boxes this week. This type of cabbage looks fun and festive with its ruffled leaves and has a taste that is more sweet and mild than green cabbage. This flavor is even more pronounced in the colder winter growing season!
